Morzine is an attractive traditional market village in the valley below Avoriaz. It really has something for everyone, including boarders, who can also head to Avoriaz. Beginners will appreciate many of the local runs, which help on those first tentative days, whilst experts will love the sheer choice of Black runs in the Portes du Soleil.

Decent selection of shops, bars and restaurants and other non-skiing activities. Accommodation covers a wide range with plenty of self-catered, catered chalets and good hotels.

Overall, Morzine is a good base, particularly for mixed groups wanting other non-skiing activities as there is plenty for all the family including a great sports centre.
